We the members of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church believe that in response to the Good News of the Gospel we are to Glorify God in all that we do, specially through Corporate worship, Biblical instruction, Christian fellowship and Mission outreach.

We Believe

• Jesus, God’s Son, died for the sin of the world.
• Jesus rose from the dead, lives and assures us of a Life with God that never ends.
• The Bible is the Word of God.
• The one living God has made Himself known as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
• Forgiveness and Life with God are gifts we receive by faith in Jesus.
• Through Baptism, Scripture, and the Lord’s Supper, the Holy Spirit brings us to faith and calls us to live as God’s people.

We Offer You

• Christian education. A Day School with preschool through eighth grade.
• Sunday School and Bible classes for all ages.
• Weekday Bible study groups.
• Church membership instruction for teens and adults.
• Vacation Bible School.
• Worship opportunities at a variety of times.
• Christian counseling through our staff or through Lutheran Child and Family Services ( 618-234-8901).
• Fellowship through a variety of groups and organizations, such as: Parent-Teacher League, Thrivent, Lutheran Women's Missionary League, Men's Club, Mission Committee, Fellowship Club, and St. John’s Youth Group.
• Services for those in need (ie: a food pantry, visits to shut ins and those in the hospital), and
• Opportunities for service.
